As part of its contribution to the circular economy, Bosch gives new, unused batteries a meaningful use. If batteries show a reduced capacity of at least 80% due to a longer storage period, they are offered as certified spare parts.* Each of these batteries is carefully inspected by Bosch and must meet the same high safety standards as a new product. By enabling these fully functional components to have a life in an eBike, the company helps to reduce waste and use resources more efficiently.

* Experience shows that the actual remaining capacity is often higher. It can vary depending on the battery type, the storage period of the cells before production, and the subsequent storage period of the battery.

• Rack-variant PowerPacks are positioned on or under the luggage rack
• For eBikes with a step-though frame, this battery position has advantages – greater freedom, for example, when mounting or dismounting
• Thanks to their higher position on the eBike, the powerful batteries can be easily and conveniently attached and removed
• The greater distance to the ground protects them from water splashes and stone impacts
