The basis is a newly developed last with a wider toe box for a natural foot position. The side BOA® fastener allows quick adjustment without pressure points. In combination with the stiff outsole and the SPD click system mount, this guarantees loss-free power transmission during the pull and push phases of pedaling. The close-fitting, elastic shaft and the tried-and-tested Sympatex® membrane ensure dry feet. The outer fabric of the Kuro Mid II STX is also water and dirt repellent. VAUDE does not use fluorocarbons, (PFAS or PFC chemicals), which are suspected of being harmful to health. In addition, the cleat window on the underside of the sole is waterproof sealed.
